About Us

I'm Alabama Elite Fishing Guide - Jason Whitehead, and I've been a premier USCG licensed charter boat captain in Guntersville, AL, since 2022. I offer professionally guided fishing charter trips for personal, group, corporate, and family events and outings for Serving Lake Guntersville and Lewis Smith Lake. I'm proud to provide a trip personally built around the client's goals and desires for their outing, to make the experience unique and specialized for each booking. I offer 4 or 6 hour bass and crappie fishing trips and provide discounts for active military, veterans, and first responders. I'm also proud to offer guided fishing trips and charters for youth to learn from the basics of recreational angling such as what a fish is, where they live, and how to catch them, on up to training for specific techniques for competition and tournament training. Our Story

Jason Whitehead is the proud owner and operator of Alabama Elite Fishing Guide and has been providing excellent experiences to Alabama residents and visitors since 2022. As a tournament angler and USCG Licensed and Insured Boat Captain, Jason has always had a love and passion for fishing. His dad taught him the second he learned to walk and started tournament fishing at 15 years old. Jason’s years of training is what initially inspired him to teach others, but realized he made the right decision after experiencing the joy that comes from providing his services to others. Regardless of whether he’s taking a group out or having a one-on-one, he ensures personalized experiences you’ll never forget.

We offer professionally guided fishing charter trips for personal, group, corporate, and family events and outings for Lake Guntersville and Lewis Smith Lake. We take pride in building a trip that is personally built around our client’s goals and desires for their outing to make the experience unique and specialized for each booking. Whether you’re looking for something to do in the area or you’re interested in advancing your skills, Alabama Elite Fishing Guide is here to ensure your desires are met.

4 or 6 hour bass and crappie fishing trips are available, and we provide discounts for active military, veterans, and first responders. We are also proud to offer guided fishing trips and charters for youth to learn from the basics of recreational angling such as what a fish is, where they live, and how to catch them to training for specific techniques for competition & tournament training. We also offer marine electronic and equipment classes and various lessons with on the water training.

Not only did we catch quite a few fish but Jason took the time to explain what we were looking at on electronics and why we were fishing the way we were. Great Crappie 4-Hour Fishing Guide with Jason! There were three of us, and we almost reached our limit of 90 crappie in just four hours, most of which were keepers. All you need to do is show up with snacks and be ready to fish. Jason is very knowledgeable and knows exactly what he's doing. I highly recommend booking him for either a bass or crappie tour!
